Hello! My name is Jennifer Conant (a.k.a. Ms. Jenny) and I love helping little ones to become better musicians. I believe that all people are born with an innate musical ability that can either be nurtured or ignored. Did you know the before- school years are the most critical for learning creativity and music? First Steps in Music by John Feierabend will help nurture your child's unique music aptitude and, with my help and yours, help them on the road to becoming the best creative, artistic, musical being they can be! Let's bring music-making back into our family culture. Click around if you would like to learn more, and thanks for visiting!
Fall Session: Nov 5-Dec 17 (6 week session) 0-4 years Thursdays 9:30-10:00am (@ Hamilton Community House)
A bit about First Steps in Music: This is an early music education program for the greater Rowley community for children ages 0-5 years old and their parents. Parental or Caregiver participation is required! To learn more about First Steps in Music's creator, John Feierabend, click here. This program was created to help bring back the tradition of music-making in families. It uses American folk song and rhymes as the base for its music-making, and holds to the belief that music creates community through this passing on of our own traditional songs and rhymes.
A bit about Jen: Jen is a certified K-12 Music Educator who has taught in the Massachusetts Public school system as an elementary music teacher since 2006. She has her Masters of Music Education from Gordon College in Wenham, MA.
